Valentines in the Garden

I’ve always, always, always loved hearts.

And as I look around my garden, I can’t help but notice that I definitely have a lot of hearts and cherubs tucked in here and there.

So, from my heart to yours….Happy Valentine’s Day!

  • Love all your hearts especially the first picture. Did you make that planter?

    • Hi Joyce – my mother actually made that planter for me. Such a sweet gift from her, isn’t it?

  • They work really well! I was sceptical when I saw the post title but can’t help but love the heart shaped stone. Where did you get it from?

    • Thanks Rachel! The stone is from a nursery in Northern CA, called Prospector – which is one of my favorites (in Grass Valley, I think).

Helen, my fellow hearty-girl, I knew we had more than gardening in common! 😉

  • Lovely, Rebecca. I’m a hearty girl, too, although mine are (still) sparkling on the Christmas tree. The snow is starting to melt, so perhaps it’s time to put mine away. Happy V-Day.

  • Nice, Rebecca! Yes, lots of heart-shaped leaves in the garden. My favorites are cactus pads. I like the dichotomy of having a plant that’s so prickly you can’t touch it, yet it conveys the message of love and hugs.
