There’s something so inviting, so charming, and so welcoming about chairs on the front lawn, don’t you think?

  • i love this….we have a neighbor who has 5 chairs on her front lawn……it always looks so friendly…as if everyone had just left the get-together, or are arriving shortly. i love passing this scene everyday.

  • I love that I recognize some of these!! (I live in L.A., too!) so peaceful just to look at, let alone sit in!

    • Carol – you DO? In tiny little Los Altos? How amazing! I’ve lived here my entire life (well, not exactly my entire life but for the past 35 years at least!). Are you new to the area or have you lived here long?

  • I don’t know Rebecca, your post seems a little “anti-family” to me. All the chairs are in pairs! What if you have a kid, or a friend or your mother-in-law comes to visit?

  • I have always loved the look of two adirondack chairs positioned toward some far off wonder. There is a pair in the next town over pointed at a ridge, and I always find myself wondering what the couple who left them was chatting about while enjoying the view. Ah L’amour…
