  • Beautiful photos. I was up @ Filoli this last Sunday & got some great photos of fall color contrasts. Autumn comes late here in the Silicon Valley!

    • Laurie – lucky you! I haven’t been to Filoli in almost a year, but when I go I love to see it in the fall, too. Thanks for stopping by!

  • Oh my, for not being all that far from us, you have some fabulous fall foliage! The most impressive tree here at the moment is our Big Leaf Maple. Blazing yellow for a day or two…fading to basic boring brown. But, amidst the green of all conifers, it’s nice to have a little variety. Wouldn’t mind more birch and Liquidambar though, that last shot is stunning! 😉

    • Curbstone – you’re so right about birch trees. So many people forget that they turn a brilliant yellow in the fall. One of my favorites for fall color!

  • Gorgeous!

What zone are you in? You must be quite a ways south of western PA, we’ve nothing left on trees but nakedness.

    • Thanks, TC! I’m in Northern California, zone 9b. Definitely a tad warmer than western PA!
