Last month I visited the beautiful garden of Debra Lee Baldwin, and while inside her home I couldn’t help sneaking a photo of her charming desk. It’s at this sweet little corner where she creates her stunning succulent and cactus watercolor paintings.
I’m always impressed by anyone who can draw anything beyond a stick figure (which is something I can barely muster) and loved how simple yet creative this little corner of hers was.
If you’re like me and think painting is completely beyond you, then head on over to Gardening Gone Wild to read Debra’s account of just how easy it can be. After reading her step-by-step instructions even I’m encouraged to try my hand at painting! Might be the perfect project for these long and cold months ahead of us….

Wow, Rebecca, thanks for sharing this. It’s absolutely inspiring how she breaks down the technique so anyone can try. I don’t think I’ll get anything like her results, but… it looks like fun!!
She is a very talented lady for sure! I am looking forward to getting her Calendar!
I just received one, Candy, and I know you’ll love it!
